Five reasons why a subscription is a great Christmas present

So, the festivus for the rest of us isn’t until the end of next month, but with shopping centres already pinging out their tinny Christmas songs, it’s about time we all got thinking about presents.

First, a disclaimer: I hate shopping. I don’t mind the kind of shopping you do where the shops are like museums, but museums where you are allowed to buy something if it speaks to you in a deep, meaningful and life-altering way. I mean the shopping where you have to get something-or-other by the time you leave. The pressure alone is enough to trigger a panic attack.

However, even if you love shopping, you should still consider a subscription to wit’s 2016 season for a few special people in your life.

Here’s why.

Reason one: a wit incorporated subscription inspires a year of love, not just a day

Season 2016 spans February to November. That means the person who receives a subscription to our season is reminded of how awesome you are five times throughout the year. You’ll pop into their head in February, April, June, August and November. Just think of all the love you’ll get.

Reason two: a wit incorporated subscription is environmentally friendly

All of our ticketing, programs and other material is completely online. That means there’s no packaging to send to landfill, no ticket stubs to wonder if you should have held onto them, no worrying about how this printing will impact on endangered species in Borneo or Congo or Madagascar. You, and your loved one, remain guilt-free and green as you like.

Reason three: a wit incorporated subscription is easy for them to regift, if they need to

Subscription tickets are fully-transferable. That means that if the person you give them to can’t make it to one of the shows, or doesn’t want to, they can regift those tickets to someone else. Your gift keeps on giving, and your loved ones don’t have to feel obliged to use something they don’t want. Having said that, the shows are all great, so I don’t think they will be regifted often.

Reason four: there’s no sizing on a wit incorporated subscription

Season 2016 subscriptions are suitable for people of all ages, sizes, backgrounds, interests, humours and styles.

Reason five: a wit incorporated subscription is great value for money

You can get a ticket to all three main stage seasons, and both play readings, for just $80 full or $60 concession. That’s a saving of $26 full and $24 concession. That’s more than 20% off!

So that settles it. Head over to the tickets page and book a subscription for someone you love.
